Barry Cohen* is president of Elysium Management LLC and works part time at Apollo Global Management, which he joined in 2008. He also serves as Chairman of the Boards of Apollo Tactical Income Fund and Apollo Senior Floating Rate Fund. Prior to these roles, Barry was with Bear Stearns where he headed its Risk Arbitrage Department and the firm’s funds of business.
Prior to joining Bear Stearns in 1987, Mr. Cohen was a risk arbitrageur at First Boston Corporation, and briefly an attorney at Davis Polk & Wardwell. Barry graduated summa cum laude from Harvard College with an AB in Applied Mathematics and received JD and MBA degrees from Harvard Law and Business Schools, respectively. He is a member of the boards of directors of the Mt. Sinai Children’s Center Foundation, The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research and Phaidon Press Limited.
