Shontay Lundy is the founder and CEO of Black Girl Sunscreen, the first Black-owned sun-care brand to achieve national distribution. What began as a single product formulated to disappear on skin has grown into a multi-SKU line with nationwide and international reach, redefining how deeper skin tones are served by the SPF industry.
A leading advocate for sun safety and equitable access to premium SPF, Shontay is an accomplished keynote speaker who shares insights on entrepreneurship, innovation, and inclusive beauty on national stages. She also mentors emerging founders through accelerator programs and weekly office hours and hosts the broadcast-to-podcast talk show Shamelessly Shontay, spotlighting culture, entrepreneurship, wellness, and SPF. More recently, in July 2026, Shontay was inducted as an honorary member of Sigma Gamma Rho.
Beyond brand building, Shontay is committed to economic empowerment—hiring, training, and partnering with talent from the communities Black Girl Sunscreen serves. Offstage, she enjoys life with her five dogs, a lively pack that keeps it joyful and balanced.
