Melanoma Biorepository Intern

Sneha Paul serves as an S Jay Levy Fellow and Melanoma Biorepository Intern for the Melanoma Research Alliance (MRA). In this role, Sneha supports strategies to grow MRA’s newly launched Melanoma Biorepository and RARE Registry, where her work focuses on accelerating research for rare melanoma subtypes, specifically acral and mucosal melanoma. Sneha’s technical precision, analytical energy, and dedication are pivotal for advancing MRA’s biobanking and registry initiatives and expanding collaborative research networks to improve outcomes for melanoma patients.

Sneha is pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering at Macaulay Honors College at The City College of New York. She brings strong experimental engineering and biotechnology product development expertise from previous roles, including her experience as a Product Development Intern at Gel Matter. At Gel Matter, Sneha conducted customer discovery with pharmaceutical and biotech stakeholders, overhauled data architecture by rebuilding complex tracking spreadsheets to eliminate redundancies and improve efficiency, and helped facilitate partnerships with research labs and global healthcare companies to advance animal mucin-based products from cosmetics into broader applications. Her background also includes past completion of the Zahn x CIPASS Apprenticeship and the Zahn x MIT AI and Entrepreneurship program, alongside hands-on research as a Data Collection Assistant in CCNY's Microcirculation Lab working with high-speed cameras and pulse rate measurement technology.

Sneha brings additional expertise across a wide array of technical disciplines, including Matlab, Python, 3D modeling in Fusion 360, and advanced laboratory techniques, alongside fluency in multiple languages. Active in campus life, she leads marketing and outreach for student organizations, leveraging strategic digital design to double platform engagement and significantly boost event participation. Sneha lives in Queens, New York, and enjoys graphic design, exploring the city, and volunteering for health literacy and community relief efforts.
