The Humble Bundle community is helping drive the future of melanoma research.
Together during Melanoma Awareness Month, the community raised an incredible $265,000 for the Melanoma Research Alliance (MRA). Because of this generosity, the funds will fully support an MRA Young Investigator Award over the next three years, giving one exceptional early-career scientist the opportunity to pursue bold ideas that could become tomorrow’s life-saving breakthroughs.
Breakthroughs begin with researchers who have the support to pursue bold ideas. This community is helping ensure that the next generation of cancer research leaders has the support needed to make their mark.

MRA is the world’s largest private nonprofit funder dedicated exclusively to melanoma research. Since its founding, MRA has invested more than $200 million in grants, supporting 565 awards and more than 500 investigators at 180+ institutions in 20 countries.
MRA-funded scientists have been at the forefront of every major breakthrough in melanoma research since the organization’s founding. Their work has helped transform melanoma care, contributing to 20 FDA-approved therapies and discoveries that are influencing treatment and care across more than 30 other cancers.
Melanoma has become a model for innovation in oncology, but there is still more work to do to ensure that every patient benefits from these advances.
Research funding is essential to advancing science. It sustains the work of established researchers, brings new investigators into the field with fresh ideas, and builds the collaborations that can make breakthroughs possible.
The Humble Bundle community’s support will help launch the career of an early-career melanoma researcher through an MRA Young Investigator Award. Over three years, that investment will give a promising scientist the opportunity to explore innovative ideas and contribute to the next generation of melanoma discoveries.
For patients and families affected by melanoma, investments in research can mean more than scientific progress - they mean more treatment options, more hope, and ultimately more lives saved.
